Himalayan Raksi is a traditional Nepalese alcoholic beverage consumed during festivals, birthdays, weddings and various other social events. It is distilled from millet, a grain that grows well in the high altitude of the Himalaya mountains. In CNN's list of the world's 50 most delicious drinks, Raksi was ranked 41st!
Tasting Notes: At 17% Brix, it has a slightly sweeter flavor than expected, making this
smoother and very drinkable straight. Starts light and builds to a whiskey-like finish with little burn. Tastes in between a white brandy and Irish Whiskey.
